This trade-in unit is in excellent condition. There are some minor blemishes on the base, and some scratching on the dust cover. We put a brand new Sumiko Moonstone cartridge on it (don't let the Ortofon in the photos fool you!) and gave it a new box/packaging. The unit sounds and looks amazing!
The Pro-Ject X8 Evolution turntable is a refined upgrade of a beloved model, now featuring a precision-engineered bearing assembly derived from the high-end Xtension 9 and 10, plus a pre-mounted Sumiko Moonstone cartridge for exceptional groove tracking. It retains key components that made the original X8 great—like a solid, vibration-resistant base, a beautifully lathed aluminum platter, and the low-mass, one-piece 9cc Evolution carbon tonearm—for outstanding vinyl performance. With its unique 5-pin DIN output and included RCA cable, the X8 Evolution also supports an easy upgrade to Pro-Ject’s true balanced technology for even lower noise and clearer sound when paired with compatible gear.
